Jo is our practice manager and has a long history in dental and health care management in the United Kingdom. She qualified as a dental assistant at Leeds Dental School/University and worked on the Department of Child Dental Health as a Senior dental assistant.
She left dental assisting to pursue a career in general nursing and qualified from the university of Bradford as a registered nurse with a BSc in Health professional studies/ Leading and Managing in Healthcare. She worked for many years as a senior nurse in cardio-thoracic surgery and cardiology and managed a thirty two bedded ward, before leaving in 2008 to manage a large 5 chair dental practice in the UK. She moved to Australia with her husband Rob and two teenage children in 2012. She is passionate about maintaining high standards within any health care setting and is interested in teaching and training.
She is currently completing a Diploma in Practice Management and has begun the practice accreditation process for Anzac Avenue Dental. Out of work Jo loves socialising with friends, foreign travel and skiing and looking after their horses and dogs. She loves the outdoor lifestyle that Queensland has to offer and enjoys hiking and seeing new places.

Rob is committed to providing excellent standards of care and enjoys mentoring and facilitating the development of new graduates. He was heavily involved in the Foundation Dental Scheme in the United Kingdom as a mentor. New graduates come to his approved training practice for a year after qualifying and were able to develop their skills in a supported environment, crucial to a new graduates development. He completed a Masters level qualification in mentoring with the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.
Originally from the United Kingdom Rob has been qualified for over 20 years. He is committed to the care of his patients and enjoys mentoring new graduates. Rob endeavours to keep abreast of all new and exciting techniques in dentistry.
He is about to embark on a Masters degree in Aesthetic dentistry to further enhance his skills for the benefit of his patients.
He is married with 2 children is a keen skier, he enjoys all aspects of the outdoor life that Australia offers.
Also from the UK, Martin qualified from Kings College London 1991. He has a particular interest in implant dentistry and completed the Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry.
Martin provides a calm approach to dentistry and helps put patients at ease.
Away from dentistry, Martin enjoys fishing, camping and golf.
Rene qualified in 1979 from Birmingham in the UK. Rene owned several practices in the UK and gained the Investors in People award in 1988. He brings a wealth of experience to the practice and has a special interest in orthodontics. He has attended many courses to further his professional development and and has recently been awarded the Myobrace certification.
He treats both adults and children utilising the Myobrace system and is often able to treat problems with jaw alignment problems which may result in simpler treatment plans.
Rene is married and has 3 grown up children.
Graduated from Griffith University which is situated on the Gold Coast with a Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and a Graduate Diploma of Dentistry. He is interested in all aspects of well proven and scientifically founded dentistry; with a particular interest in gum health, which provides the foundation for stable teeth, and in how oral health is related to the health of the body as a whole. He is always eager to broaden his knowledge and horizons in learning new techniques at the forefront of dental research and technology.
In the future he aims to get the opportunity to return to university to undertake postgraduate studies. Outside of the dental practice he has a keen interest in travelling to other countries and seeing different world cultures; he also enjoys recording these places via his passion for photography.
Caroline graduated from the University of Leeds in 2005, and has worked in both General Dental Practice and maxillofacial surgery, in both the UK and Dubai. While in England Caroline gained further qualifications from the Cambridge Academy of Implantology and the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery. In early 2013 Caroline moved with her husband and twin children to Brisbane. Caroline enjoys all aspects of dentistry, from cosmetic dentistry to oral surgery with the aim of ensuring that her patients dental experience is both relaxing and pleasant and is also a member of the Australian Dental Association. In her spare time Caroline enjoys running, skiing and reading.
